BROTHER SWEATER is knit from the top down. The neckline is based on the invisible cast on / provisional cast on. The arrangement of the stripes are up to the knitter, as long as the colours are used evenly. The sample in the picture is worked alternating between 6 and 8 rounds per colour.

If worked in one colour: 4 (4) 5 (6) 7 (7) skeins.
Suggested needle size: Circular needle 30-40 cm: sizes 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm, 4.5 mm, 5.5 mm for neckline (alternatively dpns) Circular needle size 5.5 mm: 50, 60 , and 80 cm. Circular needle size 4.5 mm, 60 cm for rib on body. Double pointed needles (dpns) for sleeves: Sizes 4.5 mm, and 5.5 mm.
Gauge: 16 sts x 23 rounds = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on size 5.5 mm after washing.
