MAJBRITT'S BERET is a hat for women, knitted in a classic smock pattern.
The hat is worked in LAMAULD
, but can also be worked in LAMATWEED
. If you want a hat in merino wool, you can knit it with 2 strands of YAKU
(50% llama and 50% wool) from CaMaRose.
The shown sample is knit in Lys brunmeleret (6920)
and Elfenben (6100)
for the cast on edge.
Yarn alternatives: LAMATWEED
(40% llama, 40% wool and 20% viscose) or 2 strands of YAKU
(100% merino wool, superwash) from CaMaRose.
2 skeins of the desired yarn, as well as a leftover bit for the edge.
Suggested needle size:
4.5 mm circular needle (40 cm), 5 mm circular needle (40 cm and 60 cm) and 5 mm double pointed needles.
24 sts x 24 rounds = 10 x 10 cm on a 5 mm needle.
